In memory of those who died defending THE RULE OF LAW;
Photo: John W. Willmott: My hybrid poppy and fresh seed.
Today, thanks to GW Bush's Crusade against the Taliban in Afghanistan
the poppy fields grow lushly again amidst the dead!
In Flanders Fields
In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved, and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.

On Monday, May 30, 2005 America remembers those who
died defending lives and law and freedom, and justice and
freedom of Speech. I remember with this Frangipani bloom
which I photographed today.
88 = Love and Kisses!

And today, Friday May 27, 2005 before Memorial day we find
1528 plus American troops have died in Iraq sent there on
a series of lis by President George W. Bush. What is next?

One year later:
***
What is next is that one year later, today, May 27 2006, two
days
before Memorial Day on Monday, 29, the death toll of U.S. troops
is now 2,465 with 18,088 wounded since March 3002. Of these
9,786 were "returned to duty" and 8,302 are permanently disabled.
I'm sure these dead and wounded
appreciate Bush and his lies!
Voices from the graves?
