At this late date, January 17, six months after the disaster, the latest reports are that the investigators still prefer to call the cause electrical or mechanical simply because they have absolutely no evidence whatever. So, the easy way out is to blame TWA, Boeing and the service organizations which handled the flight. That way, the voices of the victims' families can be bought off and stilled by multi-million awards in court as in the Pan Am 103 bombing.
And also in that way, President Clinton does not have to explain why anyone would want to kill "innocent" Americans as a result of our flawed foreign policy and failed diplomacy in supporting Israel's illegal and brutal occupation of Palestine and its genocidal oppression of the Palestinian people in order to confiscate all the Palestinian's lands, homes and water for Israeli Jews.
If that isn't enough - the U.S. attacks and embargoes on Iraq, Libya, Iran, Sudan, Syria and others are certainly sufficient for all of the world's more than one billion Islamic people to hate and want to kill Jews and their American supporters wherever found - for the killing, mutilation and starvation of their families. It is not just Jews and Americans who value their families, homes, lands, security and culture who are willing to fight and die for freedom and justice but it is others including over a billion of the world population of some 5.5 billion. They, too, heard the voice of Patrick Henry saying: "Give me liberty or give me death."
They also heard the voice of Nation Hale say: "I regret I have but one life to give for my country." Perhaps they also heard the voice of that philosopher, Tio - Juan, descendent of John Wilmot, the rebel Earl of Rochester say: '"The oppressed - in a non democratic soeiety - denied their God given rights to liberty, justice and equality have the right - indeed the duty - and will exercise it - to use whatever is available - including unremitting "terrorist" freedom fighting warfare - to achieve the same rights and freedoms we Americans - and the Jews believe they alone should have. The oppressed know that death and revenge are forever. Sic semper tyrannis!" --30-- Jan. 17, 96 My published letter follows.

Sir:
It is fully obvious from facts at the scene that weather, wind shear, pilot error, structural failure or mechanical failure were not the cause of the massive, instantaneous fireball and destruction of TWA Flight 800.
Observers of the disaster saw no lightening, no falling star nor another aircraft strike TWA 800 and cause it to explode. Some reported what looked like a rocket launched from the surface. Authorities publicly discount this at this time. A few surmise it was accidental "friendly fire" from U.S. military aircraft operating nearby. Who knows? It has happened before.
We all know it was not a terrorist act because King William The Good assured the world that the day of terrorism had come to the end through his care and good graces when he spoke following the last bombing in Saudi Arabia and earlier at a meeting with 31 heads of states he convened at Sharm a-Sheikh in the Sinai. What now remains as a cause other than an act of God?
We know that God moves in many mysterious ways and places. We know also God is kind and benevolent. We also know God allows nasties to happen from time to time which are difficult to explain. Should we be surprised then if God is affronted when a mere mortal - particularly a cowardly, disingenuous, self-serving and immoral - Bible waving hypocrite - usurps his - or her - power and engages in killing millions of innocents around the world in the name of democracy - or some such?
There are few innocents in this tragedy. Not in the White House. Not in Congress; Not the FBI and not the American people until they decide enough is enough - already - and take back our government from those who misuse military power and embargoes around the world to kill millions of innocent people for personal or political gain. To the guilty, God's Holy Word was: "Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord."
Sincerely, John W. Willmott
