Law is the basis of civilization and has been since the
time of Hammurabi.
When law is not equally applied and enforced, there
is, in effect, no law at all except that of the jungle, the
gun and the bomb with continuing escalating and
spreading tit for tat retaliation as now exists in the
violence between Israelis and Palestinians.
